My Approach
Weather permitting, we shoot outdoors, somewhere close to where you live. Plan for an hour or two, and we'll keep going as long as the mood holds. We'll talk through the kind of shots you have in mind ahead of time.
Most of the magic happens when kids are just being themselves. We're there to catch it.
I'm Mike Holloway and am a children's photographer in Kansas City.
Holloway Portraiture is a family business that my wife and I run it together.
We're not a studio with a checklist. We photograph children and families patiently and warmly, working at whatever pace the day calls for. The work really comes down to a few simple things done well: light, composition, and the patience to wait for a real moment instead of forcing a pose.
